Takeoff Q4 Roadmap

Hey, everyone!

It's been 7 weeks since we publicly launched, and we wanted to check in and provide some updates.

First, let me address the 3 biggest complaints we've gotten. We can be much better on the following issues, and we have plans to improve each of them. At the end of the day all of these initial issues fall 100% on me, and I will make sure they are fixed going forward. Please keep the feedback coming - we hear you!

Main Issues & Planned Improvements

  • Communication has been lacking and inconsistent. This will be improved with more frequent, more visible comms and with a dedicated changelog.
  • Updates have not been consistent/frequent enough. This will be improved by going back to our "Takeoff Tuesday" idea where new content will be, at minimum, consistently released every Tuesday starting next week.
  • What is/isn't a test feature has been confusing. This will be improved by completely eliminating the concept of beta users/features. Everything we ship will be instantly available to everyone. We also recognize that provided dates have been confusing, mostly because those dates haven't applied to everyone at once, hence why we're eliminating beta testing. All dates going forward are definitive and concrete for all users.

Next, let's go over everything that will be released this quarter.

Roadmap

  • New Courses: This is the bulk of what most of you come here for. Our goal is to make sure that you are equipped with all the skills you need to be on the cutting edge of AI tools and remain firmly in the top 1% of AI users. Following is the list of courses we've been working on and will release in Q4. We believe that 2025 will be a crazy year in AI, and we want to provide you with a complete foundation this quarter so that you're prepared for it.
    • Agents
    • Prompting
    • RAG/Retrieval
    • Everyday AI
    • Automation with AI
    • AI for Teams
    • AI API Foundations (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google)
  • More Projects: Courses teach skills, and projects help apply them. We will be doing a lot more here going forward. Applied knowledge is everything.
  • Templates: We plan on releasing a variety of commonly used templates that you can use to build AI tools & apps spanning from custom AI chat for your team to customer service agents.
  • Video Transcripts: Video Transcripts will allow you to take transcripts from our content and use them with your favorite AI chat apps.
  • Certifications: All completed courses will come with verified certifications.
  • AI Search: We'll soon be introducing a Perplexity-like experience on our content library. We've been experimenting with several versions of this, and we're confident that you'll enjoy the version that we've landed on. The goal here is to take you from question to answer ASAP. You shouldn't need to search for the content - it should just come right to you.
  • Revamped Forums: Forums have been much more popular than we anticipated. We scrapped together a super rough version to start, and we're tearing it all down and building a totally revamped version for the community.
  • General Improvements: UI overhaul, bug fixes, etc.

To give you a more immediate view of what's coming, here is what will be released in October from that list:

October Releases

  • Agents, Prompting, and RAG courses.
  • 2 new projects.
  • Video transcripts.
  • Certifications.

The next 3 updates will be:

Up Next

  • October 29th-30th which will include our RAG Course

As always, thanks to all of our amazing members - we couldn't be more excited to deliver the next wave of releases.
